MasterCard Debit and VISA Debit is a debit card that is directly linked to your checking account, offering you an easy way to access your account, anytime and whenever you need it.

If you need cash, you can withdraw at any Banka Ekonomike ATM, or at any other ATM where the Mastercard and VISA logos are displayed, in Kosovo and around the world.

The MasterCard Debit and VISA Debit Card is also suitable for purchases at any point of sale (POS terminal) in Kosovo and at millions of points of sale anywhere in the world, in

stores, supermarkets, restaurants, travel agencies, gas stations and anywhere else where the MasterCard logo is displayed. The MasterCard Debit Card can also be used for online purchases.

MasterCard Debit and Visa Debit offers you, as the cardholder, complete control over your spending. Every action you make with the card is reflected in your account balance, thus enabling you to verify each transaction.

Instructions for using cards on the Internet

• To make a purchase on the Internet, you must first select the type of card
• Then you must enter the card number, the name of the cardholder and the expiration date of the card
• And finally, the three-digit CVC code (for MasterCard cards) or CVV2 (for Visa cards), which is located on the back of the card, is entered

Instructions for using cards

Insert the card into the ATM and then select the language you prefer (Albanian or English)
• After selecting the preferred language, enter the card code (PIN).
• After entering the card code (PIN), select the option for the action you wish to perform (cash withdrawal, account balance, etc.).
• The ATM always displays the desired choice, so simply follow the instructions on the screen.

Making payments through “contactless” technology:

• To make purchases, it is necessary that the card and the POS terminal where the transaction is made are licensed with the technology (NFC – Near Field Communication) where payments are made through radio magnetic waves.

• Making payments is enabled at close range where communication is made through the antenna technology that is located on the card.

• When making a payment, the user presents the card at close range (up to 4 cm) with the POS terminal and for amounts up to certain limits, the transaction is completed without entering the PIN or signing the receipt.

Instructions for using cards at points of sale (POS terminals)

• To make a purchase at a point of sale (POS terminal), you simply swipe the card at the terminal (by you or the seller).
• Then, you must enter the card code (PIN).
• After you have swiped the card at the point of sale (POS terminal), the transaction is completed successfully, then the seller must give you a receipt to sign, which remains with the merchant, and a second receipt, which you must keep.
